"You also need green felt, a pair of scissors, a pillow insert (18"x18"), and some wax paper.
First I made a template for the petals. I just drew a basic petal design on a piece of paper in 4 different sizes. I made a leaf template as well. Next, I traced the petal and leaf designs onto the felt. I cut 12 petals in each of the 4 sizes, and 2 leaves. For the center, I cut out two circles (you might want to wait until you are ready to glue the center down to cut the right size circles).
Next, I laid the pillowcase out flat and inserted a piece of wax paper. That way, if the glue seeps through the fabric, it won't get stuck together.
To give my petals a little bit of a 3D look, I put some glue at the base and pinched it. You may need to use straight pins to help it stay pinched until the glue dries.
Once the petals are how you want them, arrange them on the pillowcase, big petals and leaves first, then glue them down. Once they dry, do the same with the next smallest size and so on.
I didn't completely glue my petals down. I glued them from about mid-petal to the base. This also helped the flower have a more 3D effect.
I took one circle and cut it in a spiral, then glued it to the second circle, then I glued it on the pillowcase. Let dry.
Stuff with pillow insert. Now you have a super cute pillow!"
